Welcome to our events page, here we keep you informed of events which our wine industry is involved in. The long term aim is to showcase our Wine Industry along with Great Southern Food and associated Great Southern enterprises thus making the region a more exciting place to visit at all times of the Year.

 

KEY GREAT SOUTHERN WINE & FOOD EVENTS FOR YOUR DIARY

"Perth Wine Tasting"

Date: May 7th - 4pm - 8pm
Venue: 'Wardle Room', Perth Concert Hall, 5 St George's Terrace Perth.

 

This event takes you on a tasting tour of the premium wines from of Frankland River, Albany, Denmark, Porongurup and Mt Barker. Click here for more information

"Taste Great Southern"


Date: March 2009 long weekend (from 25 February to 2 March 2009)
Venue: Various locations in the Great Southern


This event is an initiative of the Great Southern Region Marketing Association held this year in partnership with the Great Southern Wine Producers Association. It features a range of food related events coupled with the wines of our Great Southern Region.

“Festival of the Sea”


Date: Easter Saturday - 11 April 2009
Venue: Albany Boat Shed, Princess Royal Drive, Albany


Enjoy fine, fresh Seafood, aquaculture products and Great Southern wine plus entertainment including Blessing of the Fleet, celebrity chefs, museum activities and theatre arts for the kids. This event, now in its second year, is the main fundraising event for the Albany Maritime Foundation housed in the Dufyken shed. The Great Southern Wine Producers Association will help in staging the Festival.

“Great Southern Wine Producers Perth Tasting”  


Date: 7 May 2009
Venue: Perth Concert Hall, 5 St George’s Terrace, Perth


Once a year all five Great Southern sub-regions band together and present the wine of the huge Great Southern region to wine lovers in a central location in the CBD of Perth, this year it will be at the Perth Concert Hall.

  • The 13th annual Vintage Blues Music Festival. 9 hours of non-stop entertainment at Wignalls Winery, Albany - 3 January 2009
  • Waifs concert at Wignalls Winery, Albany - 24 January 2009.
