Wine Trails in the Great Southern Wine Region

The State-wide Wine Trail Project which is being funded by the Federal government through the whole Western Australian wine industry, is in its early stages of development. This Association is working with the Co-ordinator, Peter Rigby, to make wine travel through out the whole State easier to plan and do.

Festival on York Street
Held recently in Albany, the inaugural Festival on York Street - A great time was had by all.

 

Ray Jordan, wine writer, wine judge and critic has formally agreed to be our Inaugual Patron.
Ray will formally open the Festival on York Street at 1pm and will take a major role in the mid-afternoon Wine Industry Forum.

Childrens entertainment organized and directed by Relay For Life.
All people, as they purchase their armbands and Great Southern Tasting glass, will be given a list of the wonderful regional food menus available from Cafe’s and Restaurants in the Festival Area, a list of participants attending the festival and a program of events to take place during the day.

People will be able to purchase open ( for consumption on the day) and closed containers (to take away) as well as be able to taste many of the top wines produced in the Great Southern.

 

A competition is being run in the West Australian for a trip for 4 to Albany on the weekend of the 1st and 2nd December. Includes Skywest Flights ,Luxury Accomodation at The Beach House at Bayside and the use of a Avis Hire Car. Look for this in the West in the next couple of weeks.
