3drops is an established Western Australian vineyard, just 16 kilometers west of Mount Barker. Nestled in the heart of the famed wine growing region of the Great Southern, vines flourish in the rare cool climate. 15 fertile hectares of vines and olive trees produce wines and olive oil that are lovingly crafted, using a careful combination of the latest technology and time honored tradition.
3drops’ story
The story begins with a purchase of a family farm in Mount Barker in 1973. It ran as a typical sheep and cattle property until 1977, when family members, John and Joanne Bradbury and Joanne’s sister Nicola Wallich, began to explore a few ideas for the development of the property.
The original plan was to cultivate an olive grove on a portion of its 99 hectares, for the commercial production of olive oil. Soon the threesome’s small plans became bigger plans, and considering the property was located in one of the country’s foremost wine growing regions, 1998 saw the planning of a future vineyard. Initial plantings were undertaken in 1999, with further plantings in 2002.
The name 3drops was chosen to reflect the attributes of three precious liquids; wine, olive oil, and water, with both the vineyard and the olive grove irrigated by a large wetland located on the property.

Chardonnay 2005
“The nose has an interesting varietal signature of peach and citrus aromas underscored by nutty oak. The palate has a creamy texture with peach flavours dominating. Discreet oak marks a soft balanced finish.

Shiraz 2004
“New vineyards can produce delicious whites well before they make satisfying reds. I’ve enjoyed sauvignon blanc from this newish Mt Barker producer but this is the first red of theirs that has delighted: Spicy, peppery characters lively and juicy in the mid-palate with soft, smooth, almost silky texture and fine supple tannins. Approachable now.
