Abbey Creek Vineyard is a small (~2 ha) family-owned vineyard situated on the northern slopes of the Porongurup Range looking across to the magnificent Stirling Range. The climate is cool temperate, with a cold, wet (~ 800 mm) winter and a cool summer ideal for ripening cool climate grape varieties.
The first vines (Pinot Noir and Riesling) were planted in 1990, the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in 1993 and the Sauvignon Blanc in 2006. For a number of years we sold our grapes to other producers, before launching the Abbey Creek label in 2002. Our wines are all made by Robert Diletti at Castle Rock Estate.
With only a small area of vines we concentrate on quality. Since their launch in 2002 our wines have won 31 show awards across Australia.
