Gilberts planted their vineyard in 1985. The Gilbert property is well known for growing great produce. Apples and stone fruit were first planted here in the 1930’s so we have a love of growing great flavours for you. Our wines are premium styles that reflect the character of this region. Clean, unspoilt with plenty of uniqueness. Distribution of the Gilbert label has grown to include interstate and international markets.
Our vineyard is situated on high land in the northern sector of the Mount Barker wine region within the Great Southern of Western Australia. Warm, dry conditions during summer assist in producing magnificent colour and intensity within our wines, whilst cool southerly afternoon breezes lengthen our ripening season and add finesse to our wine styles.
