Established in 1986, Howard Park Wines was one of the original pioneers of Western Australia’s Great Southern region based in the coastal town of Denmark. Howard Park was built on a vision of crafting outstanding wines of great subtlety, character, balance and elegance with an uncompromising commitment to quality. Now one of Western Australia’s leading family owned and operated wineries, Howard Park produces wines of international standing that are noted for their rare balance of elegance and power showing a consistency of style and quality which is the hallmark of enduring great wines.
All wines of Howard Park are crafted using a very simple philosophy - that premium wine can only come from excellent fruit. Howard Park Wines produces Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot, Chardonnay and Riesling and a range of wines known as the Single Vineyard Regional Series, a Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon from two estates in the Great Southern – “Scotsdale” and the Howard Park “Leston” Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon from their vineyard in Margaret River. These wines are only ever produced in very small quantities but are noted for their rare balance of elegance and power and a have a proven history of rewarding ageing with increased complexity and interest.
The Howard Park Denmark cellar door and winery are located 2km from the township of Denmark. Nestled on the hillside of the picturesque 40 hectare property “Parkhead”, the modern cellar door opens onto a grassed amphitheatre and is the perfect location to taste the award winning wines.
